The ARION 400 series features engines precisely matched for consistent power and reliability, ensuring swift responses to load changes and delivering up to 10 additional horsepower through CLAAS POWER MANAGEMENT (CPM). Equipped with advanced technology, including common rail technology, internal exhaust gas recirculation, and a turbocharger with intercooler, these engines meet stringent emission standards while guaranteeing optimal performance.
With the QUADRISHIFT transmission, ARION 400 tractors enable seamless gear shifting within four powershift speeds, enhancing operational flexibility both on and off-road. This transmission system allows for comfortable selection of four hydraulically controlled ranges without clutch usage, ensuring efficient and versatile performance.
The ARION 400’s hydraulic system offers standard 60 l/min flow with an optional upgrade to a twin-pump 98 l/min circuit. This system enables simultaneous operation of rear linkage and hydraulic spool valves, ideal for intensive front-loader tasks. Additionally, up to four mechanical or two electronic spool valves provide intuitive control via an electrohydraulic joystick, ensuring precise management of front hydraulics and loaders. Rear hydraulic couplings are easily accessible and feature sturdy caps and spillage containers for cleanliness.
The ARION 400 offers advanced electronics, including CLAAS guidance systems, ensuring precision work to the nearest centimeter without overlap or damage to crops. These systems enable consistent track alignment, optimal working width utilization, and reduced overlap, ultimately saving operational time and enhancing cost-efficiency. Additionally, CLAAS provides flexible options for extending and retrofitting correction signals and terminal technology to meet individual needs, ensuring adaptability and future-proofing for the ARION 400.
The ARION 400 is equipped with a front loader system designed for precision work and integrated construction, featuring specially developed mounting brackets and reinforced frames extending to the rear axle, ensuring robust performance without compromising maintenance access or ground clearance. With two operating options – FLEXPILOT or electrohydraulic joystick – the front loader provides optimum comfort and control. The electrohydraulic joystick allows for seamless operation of both the gearbox and front loader, while precise self-leveling linkage and secure locking mechanisms such as FITLOCK and MACH quick-attachment coupler ensure swift and secure attachment and removal of the loader. Additionally, the SHOCK ELIMINATOR vibration damping system provides effective protection against shocks and impacts, even under full load conditions.
