A 6-cylinder, 6.7 litre FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies) NEF 6 engine gets to work under a one-piece bonnet. The engine meets the requirements of the Stage V emissions standard by incorporating exhaust gas after treatment with urea. It uses the latest common rail 4-valve technology, charge-air cooling and a variable geometry turbo (VGT).
CMATIC continuously variable transmission technology.ZF Terramatic transmission provides efficient conversion of engine power. In this split-power, continuously variable transmission, the four mechanical ranges are automatically selected by multidisc clutches.

The AXION 870-800 Tractor boasts convenient hydraulic features, including pressure-free connections for all ten hydraulic couplings at the rear, allowing for easy connection and disconnection even under pressure. Its load-sensing hydraulic system ensures efficient performance, with options for multiple spool valves controlled from the console or armrest, customizable to individual preferences. Power Beyond connections enable seamless operation with implements having their control units, while a free-flow return line ensures optimal hydraulic oil supply and reduced power losses for attached implements.
Operator assistance systems
The CEMOS self-learning operator assistance system is the only one of its kind on the market to optimise the performance of both the tractor and attached implements. This enables the driver to set the correct ballast and tyre pressure for the tractor/implement combination and the task. CEMOS uses a dialogue-based interface to make recommendations for all the important settings, e.g. for engine, transmission and implement. This helps to ensure optimum traction and soil protection at all times. With CEMOS you can increase your work rate, improve the quality of your work and reduce your fuel consumption by 12%.
CLAAS steering systems
Shows in advance which direction to take, or automatically steers the tractor along the best possible path. Mistakes and overlapping are eliminated. Studies have shown that a modern parallel guidance system can save up to 7% on diesel fuel, machine costs, fertiliser and crop protection products.
